I use a ton of nasal saline spray similar to "Ocean" up to ten times or more a day. Is there any side effects (high blood pressure, etc.) due to the salt content?
I know of no harmful side-effects to frequent use of saline sprays.
I was using NasalCrom. The doctor who recommended your Sinus Survival book switched me to Astelin. I typically use the neti pot before the spray. Where would Sinus Survival Spray fit in?
Astelin is an antihistimine spray. If your sinus problems are allergy related with pollen, animal dander or dust mites, then Astelin is an excellent choice. It is good to use it after irrigation. You can also use the Sinus Survival Spray every two to three hours throughout the day both as an irrigant and to keep your mucous membranes moist. The sodium selenite in the Sinus Survival Spray has anti-allergic properties as well. This should not be in conflict with what your doctor prescribed.
