Candida
Can candidiasis truly be "cured" by homeopathic means (in addition to vitamins, herbs and diet)? I've just started the Program and am seeing a Naturopath who won't be able to prescribe Diflucan, etc.

Yes, it is possible to cure candidiasis without prescription anti-fungal drugs. Diet, supplements, herbs and homeopathics can do the job just as well, although it might take a little longer. The die-off effect is usually more gentle using this method.

In your book you state that birth control pills could be a contributor to candida. Would you say the same is true for hormone replacement therapy?

The difference here is synthetic vs. natural. The synthetics are stronger and therefore have more side effects. But, it also has to do with whether or not you have an existing candida problem. Although I've seen exacerbations of yeast infections in women with existing candida problems who take birth control pills and in women in the second half of their menstrual cycle, I've not seen that physiological or HRT doses of natural progesterone would bring on a new yeast overgrowth as can be seen with birth control pills. Let's also not forget that it's a question of balance. If a woman takes birth control pills and has a good diet, good elimination, adequate stress reduction techniques, etc. there is a low incidence of yeast or any other problems.
